PUBNET

PUBNET was formed in 1987 as part of the Higher Education Division of the Association of American Publishers to give publishers and college bookstores a cost-effective method of ordering books electronically. PUBNET opened its membership to trade bookstores in 1989 and to library jobbers and distributors in 1991. In 1992, PUBNET became a separate division of the aap. PUBNET currently serves 90 publishers, representing over 500 imprints, and 3,700 booksellers.
